Dear lovely readers,
I recently did a presentation in English class about ideals of beauty through history and I wanted to talk about it here aswell.
“IF ONLY OUR EYES SAW SOULS INSTEAD OF BODIES, HOW VERY DIFFERENT OUR IDEALS OF BEAUTY WOULD BE.”
There had always been standards of beauty that women somehow needed to achieve if they wanted to feel beautiful and nowadays nothing has changed. We still feel the pressure to dress, act and talk in a way that people are going to like us and only that is the “right” way to be; nothing else is beautiful.
I just wanted to say that no women should feel like they aren’t beautiful, because they don’t fit a size 0 or because they simply don’t have long wavy hair, as Confucius said…
“EVERYTHING HAS BEAUTY, BUT NOT EVERYBODY SEES IT.”
